My first class in ko-jen

Today is my first day in ko-jen. By and large, it was good. The teacher was interesting and sincere. I like him. As to my classmates, most of them are older than me. Some are college students, and some have jobs. There are three girls in the class. The others are boys.

Before this class, I thought it might made me feel ill at ease. However, i think it was not so hard to talk with others in English. Still, there were some embarrassing moment, a moment at which i couldn't find the accurate words or right sentenses to express what i really wanted to convey.

For example, when teacher asked me the question" Would you like to take up a new interest recently?"

"Yes." I said. " Swimming."

"My senior.........My senior......." I didn't know whether he could understand if i used the word"senior".

"My senior, we are in the same department in school....."

"Oh, I see. Yeah, you can say "My senior" . Sometimes we'll understant what you said. But you can say"My older classmate ". That is much easier to understand."

Hence, i told him that "My senior invited me to join a swimming team. I said"yes!"

"Oh, good! I used to learn to swim when i was young. So, have you practiced with them yet?"

"No, not yet."

Then we continued to talk with each others.

Let's list something i learned today.

Voc:
1.slang
2.decompression
3.wagon

Usage:
1.When you are old (like 39 years old). You can say" I am in thirties."

Homework:
Vocabulary

Actullay, after this class. I realized that i really made a progress in this year. In the begining of this class, i couldn't recieve every words the teacher said. So i sometimes just couldn't keep up with his speed of speaking. He spoke fast. However, when the class was about to dismissed. I could recieve 90% of his words. That's why i thought i made a progress in this year. Because i memorized enough vocabulary this year, i could understand 90% of his words.

All in all, I think i like it. Hope i'll make progess constantly.
